I. Introduction
Privacy, according to some scholars can be defined as someone’s right to live in a secluded way from publicity or the global world. The concept of privacy started in the past where life had different challenges as compared to today (Dong et al., 2012, p. 123).
One of the major problems being the way they used to communicate and speed of message passing. It is estimated that growth of computing power has grown significantly over the last 75 years and will continue growing over time making communication faster through the use of mobile applications that allows us to communicate with each other around the globe in an instant (Randy et al., 2014, p. 17). However, in the technology world, privacy lines, however, appear to be blurry and this paper aims to shed more light on the issue. Internet privacy is the protection of media published through the web and refers to the techniques and tools used to protect sensitive information on the internet.
Importance of Privacy
Privacy is important since human beings relate to each other in private communications, seclusion or the private life of a person. The majority of citizens agree that privacy is the backbone of some human rights that are followed through the legislature (Randy et al., 2014, p. 45). Case in point the right to have freedom and have personal autonomy. The right to have your privacy is protected by the law and is expressed in different forms in the Constitution.
