ORGANIZATIONAL READINESS ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS

OVERVIEW
When planning an evidence-based practice project, there are many considerations from an
organizational standpoint. A particular project may seem like a good idea to you but if there is no
stakeholder buy in the organization is not ready for a change, or the timing is not right then
implementation of a project may not be possible. As a result, it is important for the project leader
to carefully examine and evaluate the readiness for implementation across the setting. teamwork
and the identification of potential barriers are also important considerations.
INSTRUCTIONS
After completing the assigned chapter reading for Module 3: Week 3, reflect on the topic you
have identified in the Pre-Approval Form for the scholarly project. Based on this information,
address the following questions:
1. Based on the reading, describe what type of teamwork and intercollaborative support
will be necessary for your project to have a successful translation of the outcomes
into the practice setting. Discuss the importance of organizational culture and climate
that are foundational in supporting the dissemination/translation of evidence into the
practice setting. Provide comprehensive responses and provide examples.
2. Based on the reading discuss what barriers to translation of evidence you could
encounter in the organization and/or practice setting. Prioritize the barriers to
translation and provide possible solutions to addressing the barriers. Provide
comprehensive response and provide examples.
3. Identify potential ethical and/or legal considerations you may have to address in
regard to the implementation and dissemination of your project outcomes into the
practice setting. Discuss how this aligns with the biblical worldview as a Christian
nurse with the DNP credential. (for example, does the biblical worldview support or
conflict with the ANA Code of Ethics?)
4. Use 3-5 additional resources in addition to the assigned reading to add to the narrative
development.
5. Use current APA format for the development and organization of the assignment.

6. The length of the paper is to be 3 – 4 pages, excluding the title and reference pages.
