Instructions – Initial Post

Post your Initial Discussion by Wednesday. Exacerbations of heart failure are one of the leading causes of hospital readmissions in the US. In this discussion post: 

• Describe the clinical manifestations the patient should be aware of. Include specific signs and symptoms of heart failure. 
• Discuss the first line of treatment for an acute exacerbation of heart failure, including the use of inotropic medications. Address possible complications and management of these medications.
