Estimate activity durations and develop schedule

Part 1:  Estimating Activity Durations

You are only estimating durations for one work package

1. A) Pick one work package from Assignment 2, it’s associated list of activities.

We now want to estimate durations for each of these activities.

Perform an estimate of the duration of each activity in this one work package.  Clearly show your work / calculations that will justify your estimate to the reader.

Consider the following four types of estimation methods applicable to your project:

Analogous, Parametric, Three-Point, Bottom up

Ensure your explanations are clear.    Show a sample calculation where applicable.

1. C) What would be the total duration of the work package?

Note:  You should check here if activities can run concurrently.

The purpose of this question is show that the total duration is not necessarily the total of each duration estimate.

Part 2:  Develop Schedule

1. Estimate the durations of the remaining work packages. You do not need to show your work, but ensure the estimations are reasonable.  Also include any mandatory predecessors for each work package.
