Introduction

Finalize your review of the literature and design your planned intervention.  What constitutes a manageable plan of action? How many interventions? Over what timeframe?

Learning Outcomes

After completing this module, you will be able to:

• Apply the review of the literature to a planned nursingevidence-based quality improvement project.
• Design a planned intervention for your evidence-based quality improvement project.
• Begin development of a plan assessing the outcomes of an evidence-based quality improvement project.

Reading & Resources

• Consider the work of the Institute of Medicine, The future of nursing: Leading change, advancing health. This reference will be used throughout the course to inform weekly discussions in addition to your final project.

Learning Activities

• Discussion: Participate in Discussion 3.
• Assignment: Prepare for Assignment 2, which is due in Module 4. Click on the Assignment 2 link in Module 4 for more details.
• Practice Experiences: Complete the assigned course practice experience activities as approved by the faculty of record. You will need to complete approximately 16-18 practice experience hours each week of this course.

  How did your literature review inform the plan for your project? Discuss the literature you have found to support your project.  Share what you have learned from leaders in your organization that informs your project. Describe one intervention you are considering as a result of reading the literature this week. Include two external scholarly resources to support your response.
