Discussion Board

To date, evidence-based practice is a very popular phrase within healthcare. The application and technique of various processes within nursing and healthcare evolve thanks to evidence. Using the learning materials and activities from this module, follow the instructions below:

Instructions – Write

Your initial response should address the discussion prompt(s) and demonstrate critical thinking. Your response should make personal connections, incorporate course learning materials, and include scholarly references to support your main ideas. Your initial post should be no less than 250 words and a maximum of 750 words. Post your initial response by Wednesday, 11:59 pm.

Using evidence from your assigned readings, address the following:

  • Define evidence-based practice and explain how it has impacted nursing in your area/specialty and contributed to optimal patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration. If you are not practicing at this time, think of a clinical experience that was influenced by evidenced-based practice.
  • Identify a nursing theory that is relevant to the experience you described and explain the theory and how it shaped current practice standards.

Instructions – Respond

Respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts. Each response should be a minimum of 150 and maximum of 350 words. Your peer responses are due by Sunday, 11:59 pm.
