Are amounts of specific nutrients present in a food disqualifying? Should the nutrients be naturally present (intrinsic) or could fortified nutrients be considered?<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <strong>Other Issues &#8211; <\/strong>address the following questions posed by FDA:<\/p>\n<p>o Would this change in the term \u2018\u2018healthy\u2019\u2019 cause a shift in consumer behavior in terms of dietary choices?<\/p>\n<p>o Is \u2018\u2018healthy\u2019\u2019 the best term to characterize foods that should be encouraged to build healthy dietary practices or patterns? What other words or terms might be more appropriate (e.g., \u2018\u2018nutritious\u2019\u2019)?<\/p>\n<p>o How best will consumers know when a food is healthy \u2013 how would this group prefer to communicate \u201chealthy\u201d in food labeling?
