          • This will be graded on a PASS\/NOT PASS<\/strong> basis for 20 points (240 points for the total 12 videos).<\/li>\n
          • You will be given one opportunity to rewrite <\/em>your short piece if you do not pass<\/strong>. That means you only address the problems I have pointed out to you (in other words, you may not have to rewrite the entire short piece). You will have one week<\/u> <\/strong>from the time your receive comments and a grade to submit your rewrite.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            \u201cP<\/strong>\u201d (passing grade, 20 points):<\/u><\/p>\n

            1. Write at least <\/em>250 words<\/strong> (no less).<\/li>\n
            2. Write complete sentences<\/strong> and organize your thoughts<\/strong> in a logical and coherent order that facilitates optimal communication. o Avoid scattered ideas that are disconnected; make sure you use transition ideas or sentences to connect your thoughts as you would for any essay.<\/li>\n
            3. Edit for grammar and spelling: <\/strong>no more than <\/sup><\/u><\/strong>4<\/u><\/strong> major<\/u><\/strong> grammar\/spelling errors<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              o Use a spell check or use Grammarly\u00a9; this is an excellent application you can download for your browser or software online for free.<\/p>\n

              1. Do no skip any of the required responses from the 3 sections<\/strong> (main context, 3 themes, at least 1 insight).<\/li>\n
              2. Do<\/strong> not cut and paste from the Internet<\/strong> (I will check). o Your answers should be entirely based on what you\u2019ve watched and your own notes on what you\u2019ve watched. o You can always use sources from the Internet, but then cite<\/em> the<\/em> exact source<\/em> (the URL and the date you accessed it). Still, I do not want more than an occasional outside source if you feel you must do so. *<\/li>\n
              3. Relating to (5) above, do not<\/strong> cut and paste the description of the video I have<\/strong> included under the video<\/strong> as one of your answers. o I want you to synthesize what you\u2019ve watched and frame it\u2014to the best of your abilities\u2014in your own words.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
