We experience the three major stages of \u00a0departure, initiation and return many times throughout our lives. After \u00a0familiarizing yourself with the hero\u2019s cycle as explained in our course \u00a0module, please write about a person in your life &#8211; a family member, \u00a0friend, etc. &#8211; who went through the hero\u2019s cycle and write an \u00a0Introductory Paragraph.<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0In the subsequent 5 paragraphs, identify and explain how the following \u00a0aspects of the hero\u2019s cycle apply to your personal hero. You\u2019ll need to \u00a0clearly indicate which part of your story is which part of the \u00a0cycle\u2026don\u2019t assume I know.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Call to Adventure\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Crossing the First Threshold<\/li>\n<li>Road of Trials<\/li>\n<li>Any variables experienced along the way<\/li>\n<li>Ultimate boon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even though this is an informal essay, it still requires good organization and academic writing.\u00a0 Remember \u00a0that in a Gordon Rule class one of the objectives is to communicate \u00a0effectively.\u00a0 Please do not choose a celebrity or someone famous in any \u00a0way.\u00a0 When you are finished, you will have a strong paper that \u00a0illustrates the steps of the heroic cycle, and you will have a nice tribute to a family member or a friend that you can share with them.\u00a0Two for one!!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Writing Directions:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Your<\/strong><em><strong> paper should be organized and written according to academic standards.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Your paper should be approximately one to two pages in length, typed, double-spaced.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Your \u00a0paper needs to be formatted according to MLA style. Some of this \u00a0includes using a 12pt. font and setting 1\u201d margins all the way around. \u00a0There are <\/strong><\/em><strong>many good<\/strong> <em><strong>online\u00a0resources for formatting papers according to MLA (see\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Start Here Button\" height=\"32\" src=\"https:\/\/online.valenciacollege.edu\/courses\/86947\/files\/18001419\/download?wrap=1\" width=\"46\"\/><em><strong>module for the some good writing resources).<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Be sure \u00a0to submit the paper before the deadline (see syllabus policy).
