{"id":23037,"date":"2022-01-05T10:23:04","date_gmt":"2022-01-05T10:23:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/assignmenttutors.net\/blog\/criminal-victim-studies-discussion-board-2\/"},"modified":"2022-01-05T10:23:04","modified_gmt":"2022-01-05T10:23:04","slug":"criminal-victim-studies-discussion-board-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assignmenttutors.net\/blog\/criminal-victim-studies-discussion-board-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Criminal victim studies discussion board 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Assignment Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In your own words, answer this unit&#8217;s discussion questions in a main post (300 words), and respond to at least 2 peers\u2019 postings on 2 different days (75 words each).<\/p>\n<p>After you have reviewed the Assignment Details below, click the Discussion Board link under the My Work heading above to open the Discussion Board and make your post.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>Assignment Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many universities now have full-time police departments on their campuses for the purpose of protecting students, faculty, staff, and visitors.\u00a0 Larger universities and most state university systems have campus police departments that are set up like many metropolitan police agencies.<\/p>\n<p>You are an intern with a\u00a0detectives unit on a major state university campus.\u00a0The surrounding area of the campus has turned into a pro-temp sort of university city, with bars and clubs in a village right outside of the university entrances.\u00a0There are residence halls on the university campus itself.\u00a0You are working with\u00a0a detective in the University Police Department\u00a0who\u00a0has\u00a0been designated as the &#8220;go to&#8221; investigator for situational sexual assaults (e.g., date rape).\u00a0A young female sophomore has been found wandering around in the parking lot in front of her on-campus residence hall.\u00a0 The uniformed campus police have brought her to the station because she appears to have been assaulted (there is dirt on her clothing and legs, her clothing is torn, and she is displaying incoherent speech patterns).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Her friends from the residence hall told the uniformed police that they saw her earlier in the evening in the \u201cStudent Station\u201d, a local bar three blocks from the main entrance of the university campus.\u00a0Furthermore, she was in the company of a man who was described as a\u00a0Caucasian male, about 25 years old, and with short blond hair.\u00a0When they saw her, she\u00a0appeared to have\u00a0been drinking heavily.<\/p>\n<p>Focus your discussion on the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What strategy do you propose for investigating what may have occurred?<\/li>\n<li>Identify in order of sequence everything that you would do up until the interview of this potential victim.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Explain why you would take the actions that\u00a0you chose prior to the interview.<\/li>\n<li>Explain what your goals\u00a0are for\u00a0preparing the victim for your interview<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assignment Description In your own words, answer this unit&#8217;s discussion questions in a main post (300 words), and respond to at least 2 peers\u2019 postings on 2 different days (75 words each).
