After students have participated in the unit, they \u00a0are given the post-assessment, which can be the same as the \u00a0pre-assessment, a modified version, or something comparable that \u00a0measures the same concepts.Comparing students\u2019 pre- and post-assessment results enables \u00a0the teacher to determine whether the instruction was effective in \u00a0increasing student knowledge and performance of the intended learning \u00a0goals and measurable objectives.<\/p>\n<p>To complete STEP Standard 3, collaborate with your cooperating \u00a0teacher\/mentor to design pre- and post-assessments for your \u00a0instructional unit that align to state content standards and measure \u00a0the intended learning objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Complete the Pre- and Post-Assessment tables in Standard 3, and \u00a0arrange with your cooperating teacher\/mentor to administer the \u00a0pre-assessment to the students in your class. After administering the \u00a0pre-assessment, answer the questions in STEP Standard 3.APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.<\/p>\n<p>This assignment uses a rubric.
