The study that the journal has conducted is focused on exploring the attitudes of teachers towards the inclusion of the children with disabilities. The study was conducted among the teachers in Israeli and America and was majorly focusing on the Jewish education (Alexander, et al., 2016).

Intent of the Study

Inclusion is a major challenge in the education sector and more complicated for the children who require special care (Kelly, 2006). The intent of this article was to address the issue of inclusion in the early childhood education by focusing majorly on a socio-cultural perspective specifically in Jewish education in the United States and Israel. The researchers were Jewish early childhood educators from both countries. The research was mainly conducted among professional learning communities in the both countries. Some teachers usually avoid inclusion whereas others welcome it. Therefore, the researchers were primarily seeking to know the dilemmas that are associated with this mixed reaction from the teachers in both countries.

The teachers were the key participants in the research since they were the best fit to join the professional learning community that the research was using. The study sought to unleash the complexity of inclusion by assessing the attitudes of the teachers who shared their vast experiences in the field of teaching. The teachers were also able to give their opinions and shed light on the values that the societies in both countries have towards inclusion in the classroom. Therefore, in the end, the article can present its findings and give recommendations about the professional development needs that teachers require to make inclusion more effective in the classroom.

One of the major questions that the research team sought to find out was the attitudes and the perceptions of the teachers towards inclusion. It was evident to the team that the policies would only work if the teachers had given their consent to them. Teachers are the major people who interact with the children and therefore, they must be receptive towards the idea of inclusion.

The other research question that the researchers sought to answer was the beliefs of the society towards inclusion. The society is the most fundamental when it comes to the application of new rules and standards especially if it involves the children. Since the schools were not accustomed to the factor of inclusion, the researchers sought to find out about the beliefs that the society had towards the same. The article was majorly focusing on the attitudes that the society had towards both the opportunities and the problems that inclusion would bring to the education setting especially for the Jewish education.

The conceptual framework for this research was majorly built on understanding the attitudes of teachers towards inclusion and the underlying values (Kozleski & Waitoller, 2010). The framework was majorly centered on the Jewish education and therefore most of the attitudes that are reflected are those of the Jewish religious leaders. The issue about the inclusion of children with disabilities in the education sector is broad. Therefore, the framework was able to guide the researchers on the factors to focus on a particular item at a time. The paper is, therefore, able to provide concrete guidelines of the attitudes of the teachers towards this inclusion. It is also able to give us a clear view of the Jewish religious leaders towards this integration. The framework is so clear that it allows one to see the issue beyond the religious education setting. It is also relevant to other religious settings across the world. The framework enabled the researchers to limit themselves to a particular scope of the study and therefore, the findings are clear without any mix-up.

Analysis of an article The peer-reviewed journal article is about early childhood special education.
