For this assignment, you will identify an area of health care (i.e., long-term care,
\nfacility operations, finance, health care insurance, etc.) you find particularly
\ninteresting. Locate a health care leader (supervisor, manager, director, etc.) that is
\ncurrently working in your selected area of health care. You are to conduct an
\ninterview with your chosen leader. Your interview can either be by phone or an in-
\nperson interview. You are to compose a list of 8-10 questions to ask the interviewee.
\nYour questions should be directly related to this module\u2019s readings and should not
\nbe closed-end questions (requiring more than a yes or no response). See example
\nquestions below:\n<\/p>\n

a. What is your leadership style and how do you apply it in your everyday activities?\n<\/p>\n

b. What are some leadership qualities that are needed in today\u2019s health care
\nenvironment?\n<\/p>\n

c. How do you balance power and authority as a leader?\n<\/p>\n

You are to complete a voice-recorded, narrated 12- to 15-slide PowerPoint (PPT)
\npresentation covering the following:\n<\/p>\n

1. Name of leader interviewed, years in the health care industry, education, and
\nmanagement experience.\n<\/p>\n

2. Provide a brief discussion of his\/her role and a brief description of the health care
\nprogram\/department managed, and the organization itself.\n<\/p>\n

3. Summary of questions asked and responses.\n<\/p>\n

4. Identify both leadership and management characteristics of your interviewee.\n<\/p>\n

5. Explain how you will apply what you learned in your interview in your career as a
\nhealth care leader.\n<\/p>\n
