For this Assessment, you will answer a series of short answer \u00a0questions to demonstrate your understanding of the key tenets of \u00a0indigenous practices and beliefs.<\/p>\n

Before submitting your Assessment, carefully review the rubric. This \u00a0is the same rubric the assessor will use to evaluate your submission, \u00a0and it provides detailed criteria describing how to achieve or master \u00a0the Competency. Many students find that understanding the requirements \u00a0of the Assessment and the rubric criteria help them direct their focus \u00a0and use their time most productively.<\/p>\n

Achievement vs. Mastery of the Competency<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Mastery of this Competency means that 80% or more of the rows have \u00a0been assessed as Exceeds Expectations and no rows have been assessed as \u00a0Does Not Meet Expectations.<\/li>\n
  • Achievement of this Competency means that all rows are assessed at \u00a0Meets Expectations or above (but lower than the 80% threshold required \u00a0for Mastery).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Assessment of Individual Rubric Rows<\/strong><\/p>\n

    In order to achieve Meets Expectations<\/strong> for a \u00a0particular row of the rubric, you must have adequately completed all \u00a0criteria in that row. This means that you have addressed all required \u00a0elements to the required level of quantity and\/or quality.<\/p>\n

    In order to achieve Exceeds Expectations<\/strong> for a \u00a0particular row of the rubric, you must have adequately completed all \u00a0criteria in the row, and in addition, your response must reflect a depth \u00a0and breadth of knowledge and expertise. Examples of this include\u2014but \u00a0are not limited to\u2014the following:<\/p>\n

    • You provide additional, specific, and\/or particularly relevant examples to illustrate points made.<\/li>\n
    • You seamlessly incorporate your original thoughts and diverse, \u00a0credible, and relevant academic sources, when applicable, to express \u00a0your viewpoint or develop a persuasive argument.<\/li>\n
    • You demonstrate a deeper understanding of the subject that draws \u00a0from discipline-specific knowledge and theory and incorporates the \u00a0viewpoints of a diverse set of business and management thought leaders.<\/li>\n
    • You draw additional connections between multiple, complex topics to support your explanations.<\/li>\n
    • You are able to apply your knowledge in unique, creative, and\/or innovative ways.<\/li>\n
    • You thoroughly break down concepts into simpler parts and use your understanding of business to make connections.<\/li>\n
    • Your analysis is insightful and original.<\/li>\n
    • You design processes, products, and\/or solutions that are creative, high-quality, and innovative.<\/li>\n
    • You consider diverse perspectives and relevant social, ethical, and \u00a0business-related issues when proposing new ideas or formulating \u00a0judgments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Indigenous religions are vast in number and vary greatly in different \u00a0regions of the world. Animism, Pantheism, and Shamanism are just three \u00a0examples of indigenous religions. These religions place great importance \u00a0on ancestors and oral tradition. They look more to leadership within \u00a0the religious community to provide guidance, rather than religious texts \u00a0like many Western Religions.
