Nurses are important advocates for patients and health policy. For this Scholarly Paper Assignment, you will need to think about and answer the following questions:\u00a0<\/span><\/span>How can nurses identify healthcare problems and help formulate policy? How do nurses help to improve healthcare policy?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

  • Introduction & Identification of Healthcare Problem (1-2 paragraphs):\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Provide an introduction and identification of your identified healthcare issue. Provide a discussion on how your healthcare issue aligns with current healthcare legislation\u00a0<\/span>and how<\/span>\u00a0whether or not<\/span>\u00a0policy reform or development is necessary.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The Role of the Nurse (2-3 paragraphs):<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Reflect on the role of a nurse. Provide a discussion on how the identified role as a nurse aligns with healthcare policy formation and reform.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Accountability as a Healthcare Provider (2-3 paragraphs):<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Provide a discussion on the accountability as a healthcare provider in addressing the identified healthcare issues.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Application of Evidence-based Practices (1-2 paragraphs):<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Provide a discussion of the relationship between evidence-based practices and formulating healthcare policy. Support from at least 1 scholarly source provided.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Conclusion (1 paragraph):<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Provide a discussion that\u00a0<\/span>summarizes<\/span>\u00a0all components of the paper.
