Context: As increased attention is given to the realities of structural racism and sexism in American culture, organizations are increasingly focused on diversifying talent, creating a mission of anti-racism and equity, and hiring a workforce that is trained to think about the value of diversity, inclusivity, and equity at work.\u00a0 In \u201cDo your Employees Know Why You Believe in Racial Equity,\u201d Ruchika Tulshyan asserts that \u201cdone right, creating diverse, equitable, inclusive organizations yield greater profitability<\/a>, innovation<\/a>, and smarter teams<\/a>.\u201d\u00a0 In other words, a commitment to inclusion and equity is critical to organizational success.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This post asks you to reflect on the value of diversity, inclusivity and equity at work and the ways in which you can be a more effective ally.\u00a0 Finally, you will consider resources on anti-descrimination policies so that you are better equipped to advocate for yourself and your colleagues in the workplace.<\/p>\n
