You will open and save an existing database, create a relationship between two tables, sort records in a table, create queries in Design view, create queries from existing queries, sort query results, and specify criteria in a query.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Start \u00a0\u00a0Access. Open the downloaded file named <em>go_a02_grader_a1_Grants_Organizations.accdb<\/em>, \u00a0\u00a0and then enable the content.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Using \u00a0\u00a0Organization ID as the common field, create a one-to-many relationship \u00a0\u00a0between the Organizations table and the Grants Awarded table. Enforce \u00a0\u00a0referential integrity and enable both cascade options.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Create \u00a0\u00a0a relationship report with normal margins, saving it with the default name. \u00a0\u00a0Close all open objects.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In \u00a0\u00a0the last record of the Organizations table, change the data in the \u00a0\u00a0Organization ID field from <em>ORG-1527<\/em> \u00a0\u00a0to <strong>ORG-1001<\/strong>, and then close the table. (The \u00a0\u00a0related records in the Grants Awarded table will automatically update.)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In \u00a0\u00a0the Sorted Grants table, sort the records first in descending order by the \u00a0\u00a0Award Amount field and then in ascending order by the Department field. Close \u00a0\u00a0the table, saving the changes to the table.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Create \u00a0\u00a0a query in Query Design view based on the Grants Awarded table. Add the following \u00a0\u00a0fields to the design grid in the order given: Grant ID, Grant Name, Award \u00a0\u00a0Amount, Type, and Award Date. Run the query, save it as <strong>All Grants Query<\/strong>, and then close the query.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Copy \u00a0\u00a0the All Grants Query to create a new query with the name <strong>Grant Types Query<\/strong>. Redesign the query so that the \u00a0\u00a0following fields display in the order given: Grant ID, Department, Type, \u00a0\u00a0Grant Name, and Award Amount. Sort the records in ascending order by the Type \u00a0\u00a0field and in ascending order by the Grant Name field. Run the query, and then \u00a0\u00a0close the query, saving the changes to the query.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Copy \u00a0\u00a0the All Grants Query to create a new query with the name <strong>Grants Sort Query<\/strong>. Redesign the query so that the \u00a0\u00a0following fields display in the order given: Grant Name, Department, Award \u00a0\u00a0Amount, and Award Date. Sort the records in ascending order by the Department \u00a0\u00a0field and in descending order by the Award Amount field. Run the query, and \u00a0\u00a0then close the query, saving the changes to the query.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Copy the Grants Sort Query to create \u00a0\u00a0a new query with the name <strong>All Private Grants Query<\/strong>. Redesign the query so that the \u00a0\u00a0following fields display in the order given: Grant Name, Department, Award \u00a0\u00a0Amount, Award Date, and Type. Sort the records in ascending order only by the \u00a0\u00a0Grant Name field. Set the criteria so that when you run the query only those \u00a0\u00a0records display that have <strong>private<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0as the Type. Do not display the Type field in the query results. Run the \u00a0\u00a0query (11 records display). Close the query, saving the changes to the query.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Create \u00a0\u00a0a query in Query Design view based on the Organizations table. Add the \u00a0\u00a0following fields to the design grid in the order given: Organization Name, \u00a0\u00a0Contact Name, and Contact Phone. Sort the records in ascending order by the \u00a0\u00a0Organization Name field. Set the criteria so that when you run the query only \u00a0\u00a0those records display that are missing the contact phone number. Run the \u00a0\u00a0query (two records display). Save the query as <strong>Missing Phone \u00a0\u00a0Query<\/strong>, \u00a0\u00a0and then close the query.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Be \u00a0\u00a0sure that all database objects are closed, open the Navigation Pane, and then \u00a0\u00a0close Access.
