This requires proper efforts with regards to: <br \/>\u2022 Reading and understanding plans; <br \/>\u2022 Recognizing construction work items; <br \/>\u2022 Surveying the quantity for various types of work; <br \/>\u2022 Using cost databases to acquire cost of construction efforts; <br \/>\u2022 Estimating indirect and total cost of construction; and <br \/>\u2022 Submitting and presenting a professional proposal of their cost estimation. <br \/>General requirements of the proposal are as following: <br \/>\u2022 This is an individual assignment and students will not be allowed to work in groups. <br \/>\u2022 Use the project plans and other reference material posted on Canvas to identify the scope of work <br \/>in this project and complete the quantity take-off. <br \/>\u2022 Follow the CSI MasterFormat\u00ae (2004 Edition) in organizing the cost estimate proposal. <br \/>\u2022 Use \u00a0the \u00a0R.S. \u00a0Means \u00a0Online \u00a0website \u00a0(https:\/\/www.rsmeansonline.com) \u00a0to \u00a0get \u00a0cost \u00a0data \u00a0for \u00a0all \u00a0<br \/>identified work items. It is the students\u2019 responsibility to follow up on the invitation email to setup <br \/>an account on the R.S.
