Discussion Thread: Nursing Care to Impact Global Health Care

After reviewing the assigned readings for this module, you will answer the following questions:

• Research a current health care issue in a developing or underdeveloped country; thoroughly discuss the impact of this issue on the culture including incidence, prevalence, and economics. Include barriers to care and current trends in care. Include at least 1 peer-reviewed journal as documentation of this health issue/concern.
• Discuss and apply the principles of the American Nurses Association’s (ANA) Social Policy Statement to this issue on a macro-level (country-wide).
• Provide a solution to address this health issue: Discuss opportunities to finance and distribute nursing care and resources in order to provide nursing care and improve health care outcomes in support of the ANA’s Social Policy Statement and the Christian worldview.
• Discuss the role of the DNP to address global health care issues including leading initiatives to finance care, provide (Person-Family-Centered) nursing care, and develop programs to improve global health outcomes.
