Opportunity to explore a variety of contemporary policy issues affecting individuals, populations, and/or healthcare delivery is provided. Hearing from all sides (a balanced approach) will be emphasized to facilitate a broad understanding of the problems necessitating policy change.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this module, you will be able to:

• Evaluate contemporary health policy formation and/or change for the validity of evidence-based practice.
• Evaluate contemporary health policy formation and/or change for degree of public and/or professional urgency, window of opportunity and feasibility.
• Demonstrate balance or ability to hear from all sides in approaching policy analysis and need for change.
