Activity 2: Team Investigation

As a team investigate at least 5 new careers in health sciences that you did not know before.

You will need to find out:

  1. Name of the career
  2. What they do (role and responsibilities)
  3. What the educational requirements are
  4. What certification, additional training, and/or experience are required
  5. Some interesting facts about the career. You can choose from the list below or locate your own
  • Food Inspector
  • Field Epidemiologist
  • Health Equipment Technician
  • Pharmaceutical Representative
  • Community Health Coordinator
  • Community Health Advocate
  • Health Navigator
  • Patient Representative

For each career investigated, make an electronic binder with all the information. Add pictures and additional comments and links that would help others who are interested in the field. (You will add to this binder during the course)

Activity 3: Add to your Team Pinterest Breaking News in Health Sciences

With your team you will begin a Pinterest board to collect and annotate advances in the Health Sciences. This will begin to show you the new and cutting edge advances that might affect your choice of career. Be sure to annotate each picture with your own information rather then just was is there already. You might have to do some more research to do this.

Project Assignment:
